BlockyForge turns a written idea into a voxel model you can preview, revise and take into your own workflow. This guide covers what you can do today—and what you need to finish yourself.

Start creating

01 / CREATE

Generate a Minecraft model

Describe the shape, colors and details you want—for example, “A small mossy stone golem with glowing blue eyes.” You can add a PNG, JPEG or WebP reference image (up to 10 MB) to guide the look. A written description is still required.

Sign in, submit your prompt on the home page or in your workspace, and wait for the generation task to finish. Open the completed asset to rotate and inspect it in 3D. Generation depends on the AI service and can fail or time out; a result is a starting point, not a guaranteed game-ready model.

02 / ITERATE

Edit and manage your models

On a completed asset, describe what to change in plain language. BlockyForge creates a new model asset from your original; the original stays in your workspace so you can compare or keep both. The workspace shows your assets and task statuses, and lets you download or delete your models.

Edits produce static models. They do not generate or retain animation keyframes.

03 / EXPORT

Choose where your model goes next

Open a completed asset and download the format that fits your next step. Each export starts from the same generated model, but the files serve different workflows.

Blockbench · .bbmodel

An editable project with cubes, groups, UVs and a basic PNG texture. Open it in Blockbench to refine the shape and texture.

Java Edition · .zip

Contains assets/minecraft/models/block/model.json and assets/minecraft/textures/block/model.png. Intended as a block/item model starting point; you still need to wire it into your resource pack. Bones and animation are not supported in this format, and cube rotation is restricted.

Bedrock Edition · .zip

Contains models/<name>.geo.json (geometry and bones) and textures/<name>.png. Import the geometry into a compatible Blockbench project or integrate these files into your own Bedrock resource pack. Entity definitions and a complete installable pack are not included.

Other 3D tools · .glb

A single binary glTF file with mesh geometry and an embedded texture. Use it in GLB-compatible 3D tools; it is not a Minecraft resource pack.

Java and Bedrock downloads are source files, not one-click in-game imports. Check the result in Blockbench and in your target game version before publishing a pack.

04 / ACCOUNT

Pricing and usage

Your workspace includes a plan and usage view. See pricing and plans for the available subscription options. Your first three completed models are free with no credit card required; edits also count. Failed tasks do not use the free allowance. After that, generation requires an active paid plan with credits remaining. Generation has per-user rate and concurrent-task limits. Availability and billing depend on the configured deployment.

05 / GOOD TO KNOW

Troubleshooting and current limits

Textures are basic procedural pixel textures, so expect to refine them in Blockbench. BlockyForge does not currently generate animations, export directly to ModelEngine, or publish assets to a marketplace. If a task fails, check its status in the workspace and try a clearer prompt; if an export fails, try the editable .bbmodel and adjust the geometry before exporting again.
